Intermittently is built to be private. It has no account, shows no ads, and needs no network connection to do its job. This page explains, plainly, what that means for your data.
The short version: Intermittently does not collect your data, does not send it to us, and has no analytics or tracking of any kind. Your fasting data lives on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud account. We never receive it.
Intermittently is an independent app for iPhone and Apple Watch, developed by Zack Schiel. Questions about privacy can be sent to playquantumpuzzle@gmail.com.
Nothing. Intermittently contains no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising, and no third-party tracking software of any kind. We do not create a profile about you, and there is no account to sign up for. We, the developer, do not receive your fasting records, your settings, your weight, or any other information from the app.
If you choose to enable it, Intermittently can read your body weight from Apple Health to show your weight and a simple trend. This is entirely optional — the app is fully functional without it.
Intermittently can send you local notifications (for example, when your fast reaches its goal or your eating window is closing). These are scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. There is no notification server, and no push data is sent to or from us.
You can export your fasting history as a CSV or JSON file at any time, for free, from within the app. This export is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it. Your data is yours.
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, because we never receive it in the first place. There are no third-party advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers involved in the app.
Intermittently is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone. Because the app collects no personal information at all, it holds no data about users of any age.
If you are testing Intermittently through Apple's TestFlight, please note that Apple collects certain information — such as crash logs, basic usage statistics, and any feedback you choose to send — and shares some of it with the developer to help improve the app. This is handled by Apple under Apple's TestFlight & Privacy policy. This applies only during beta testing via TestFlight.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
